I created Purposeful Credit Solutions because I discovered that money has a specific purpose in our lives. We need to understand that purpose or we will forever be in financial turmoil.
I started to understand this lesson in 2008; when I was laid off from my Commercial Underwriting job. I left with a severance check, but I had no emergency funds. After my severance funds were depleted, my financial situation spiraled out of control. I knew I had to stop spending and wasting money unnecessarily, but I didn't know how.
After I was laid off, I went back to school and graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of San Diego. I left school with a large amount of student loan debt and my poverty mindset remained.
After I left school, I researched ways on how to invest and leverage credit to build wealth. I now paid my bills on time, but I still did not fully embrace debt freedom, I still kept spending recklessly. So, in addition to student loan debt, I now had over $10,000 in credit card debt. I reached a point where I was tired of living in lack and defeat. My breakthrough came when I cut out unnecessary spending and created a budget. As my wealth mindset started to evolve, I looked for ways to save money. I created additional streams of income and more importantly stopped using my credit cards.
For the first time in my life, I now knew I could be debt free. My actions were now aligned with my newly formed wealth mindset. I now knew I could achieve, what I thought was unobtainable - debt feedom.
Ask yourself, what is your why? How did you acquire your debt? Are you tired of living a life of defeat and regret? You can have a better future. When you can stand in your truth and accept responsibility for your financial decisions, you are taking the first step to living a life of purpose and destiny.
